Earth Week Commissions (2021)
Creative direction and programming aimed at recognizing the importance of Earth Week at Meta. Commissioned three design studios to spark critical conversations about climate change.
Below: Research project “Now or Never” visualizing melting and drought by Studio Hik using messages speaking to ecological collapse predicted in 60s-80s novels. Featured in Helsinki Biennial 2022 as an AR experience.
Below: Studio Es’s “One Earth” crafts a visual message inspired by the stardust of the universe, individual stars and individual responsibility. Just as stars come together to create constellations, we come together to make up One Earth.
Below: Joosung Kang’s “Woven Practices” illustrates his cumulative design process around the ecology topic through his career to emphasize his personal commitment to act on climate change.
